Tariff
The minimum tariff rate for travel in Bhutan is US$220 per day, per person (fixed by the department of tourism). It covers standard hotel accommodation on a twin sharing basis, three meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner, sight-seeing with transportation and trained guide.
Touring
“Touring” is traveling by vehicle through the Bhutanese countryside, with optional walks and day hikes to visit temples, monasteries and villages.
Expert tourist guides will accompany the guests.
Trekking
Trekking routes range from the easy, leisurely short treks to extremely difficult and long ones. The unspoiled pristine environment, unique people and culture is an unforgettable experience. Well-trained staff will take care of almost everything except for the walking! First time trekkers are amazed by the level of comforts possible on a well organized trek.
Entry Routes
The easiest way to enter Bhutan is by the national airline DrukAir - the only airline operating in the kingdom.
DrukAir flies into Paro International Airport from Bangkok in Thailand, Delhi and Kolkata in India, Kathmandu in Nepal and Dhaka in Bangladesh. Flight schedules are available from www.drukair.com.bt
On clear days the flight into Paro offers you spectacular views of the world’s highest mountain peaks - Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Jhumolhari and Mount Kula Gangri.
DrukAir tickets
Druk Air tickets will be purchased in Bhutan by us and arrangements will be made for you to collect it at the port of your embarkation. Air tickets can only be purchased when you have visa clearance.
The only airline that operates in and out of Bhutan is Druk-air; you can visit their web site www.drukair.com for days of operation and sectors that Druk-Air fly.
You must let us know the sector that you would like to use for arrival and departure and the exact duration and cultural places/treks.
Connections to Druk-Air can be made from 1) Bangkok in Thailand, 2) Calcutta OR 3) Delhi in India, 4) Dacca in Bangladesh and 5) Kathmandu in Nepal.
We will confirm and purchase the Druk-Air tickets as soon as you provide us with your name details as mentioned in your passports:

The tickets will be kept at the Druk-Air Check in Counter and you can collect them when you check into Druk-Air along with your visa approval. The tickets can also be sent to you by express mail. You have to provide us with proper mailing address. An extra charge for express mailing will be USD 25 (for USA) USD 20 (for European Countries) and USD 18 (for Asian Countries)
Druk-Air has a very strict cancellation policy as they are mostly over booked. It is always safer TO RESERVE and purchases the tickets as early as possible.
Druk-Air will charge an extra cost of USD 12 should you change your sector/date of travel/spelling mistake in name as they will have to issue fresh tickets.
Departure Tax:
USD 15 paid in advance along with the cost of ticket.
Tour Cancellation
Tour Cancellations charges are monitored very strictly. Following is the refunds available against Tour Cost. Druk-Air cancellation/refund has already been mentioned above.
1. Before 30 days of visit to Bhutan, there will be full refund.
2. Within 15 days of Arrival, 50% will be deducted and balance
will be refunded.
3. If a tour/trek is postponed before 30 days, then the payment will remain valid for a period of 1(one) year from the actual start of the trip.
Any change of tour/trek/Drukair the actual cost of expenses will be borne by the client and no refund for early departure due to weather.
The refunds will be made in the same manner as the payment.
Visa
Visa clearance has to be obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs Department of Immigration prior to your arrival in the kingdom. Visa application takes a minimum of 7 working days. The visa fee is US $20. We will obtain your visa clearance for you - enabling you to be given your visa on arrival at your entry point in Bhutan.
You are required to present a passport size photo to the immigration official on duty at the point of entry into Bhutan.
Remittance of tour payment
Government regulations require that tour payment be deposited before the visa can be processed as VISA is cleared by the Government subject to advance payment only.
